I am delighted to announce that Mike DeFrancesco has joined the DevOps Gorilla team as our very first Cloud Specialist. Mike will provide premium support for our clients in AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
Back in 2018, I decided I wanted to start a company to provide organizations support for Cloud Native solutions and DevOps practices. It’s not long ago that those kinds of technologies were only available to large enterprises, but that’s no longer the case. From Healthcare to Finance, the accessibility of the Cloud and the effectiveness of DevOps has triggered disruption all across the economy.
At DevOps Gorilla, we’re building a team that is proud to be part of the technology revolution and we’re excited that our team’s growth lets us provide new services to more customers. With additional team members, we’ll be able to offer faster migration services, better systems support, and more professional services offerings.
So, if you’re reading this and need a hand with systems maintenance, want to get started in AWS, or looking to expand into more advanced services like Machine Learning, CI/CD, or Kubernetes, it’s never been a better time to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
And, now, in his own words, a little bit more about Mike:
When I was six years old my dad brought home a Packard Bell personal computer. Ever since then I’ve had a deep interest in technology. From exploring the early internet via Prodigy to building a gaming computer, I soaked it all up!
I went to Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and graduated with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. During college, I worked at Marlin Software as a computer technician. I ended up working full time for Marlin in various technical roles for almost 7 years. While there I worked in many technology-based roles from technical analyst, customer service, corporate tech support, and, in my last role, a member of the Infrastructure & Operations Team (our way of saying DevOps/IT).
It was during this time at Marlin that I was exposed to network and system administration, creating Windows images, virtualization, PowerShell scripting, and a plethora of other tech topics. Maybe most importantly, I got a real sense of how a company functions and how all these technical cogs affect the success of a business. In June 2018, I became Comptia Network+ certified. Shortly after, I began working with Microsoft Azure supporting our IT migration to the cloud.
When I’m not in front of a computer screen working, I’m in front of a computer screen playing video games! I have a vast Steam collection and especially love RPGs, strategy, and puzzle games. However, sometimes I like to soak up the sun by visiting Chris Proto’s island in Animal Crossing! While all that is true, I do enjoy being unplugged and going hiking and taking photographs of nature. From March to November you can find me in the woods and mountains around New England. Cooking is another passion of mine. I love trying out new recipes! I’m also very much into the horror and sci-fi genres.
Thank you for reading about me. I look forward to servicing your essential cloud computing needs!
